Rabbi Benjamin Lefkowitz
Rabbi Benjamin Lefkowitz, a member of the CCAR, was born and raised in New York City. He attended Queens College, New York, then the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, where he recveived his ordination. Subsequently,Rabbi Lefkowitz was a graduate fellow at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati, studying Bible and the Ancient Near East.
Rabbi of Temple Beth Sholom in Hull from 1997-2016, Rabbi Lefkowitz previously served High Holy Day pulpits in Lock Haven, PA, and Olympia Fields, IL. From 1980-1994 he was rabbi of Congregation Agudath Achim in Taunton, MA. He is also currently teaching at Roger Williams University and the Community College of Rhode Island.
