Rabbi Heather Shore

Rabbi Heather Shore (she/her)
Heather was ordained by HUC-JIR in 2023, and is finishing an additional master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling & Spiritual Integration through Fordham University’s Graduate School of Religion this year. She currently serves as the Director of Community Engagement for Tzedek Box, a new ritual resource supporting Jews and their allies to deepen and sustain their tikkun olam efforts. In addition to this work, Heather serves as a clinical counseling intern at the College of Mount St. Vincent, providing college students in the Bronx with psycho-spiritual support on campus.
Heather is passionate about integrative, relational, and accessible modalities of Jewish spiritual support that foster personal resilience and communal care. Whether serving individuals, communities, experiential programs, or clinical clients, Heather's work strives to support spiritual ecosystems with sustainable, creative, values-aligned care.
Combining her pastoral and clinical studies, Heather’s recent areas of research include spiritual care for climate-crisis related grief and anxiety, as well as interdisciplinary supports around death, dying, and bereavement. Heather holds undergraduate degrees in Judaic Studies and Studio Art from Binghamton University, and spent the years leading up to rabbinical school working for a variety of Jewish experiential programs as an educator, program developer, and logistics coordinator in Jerusalem and New York.
Heather is a certified Yoga Teacher and avid plant-lover, and wrote her rabbinic thesis on Biblical Botany. When not working (or spending way too many hours on 95 commuting back and forth to New York for her clinical placement), Heather enjoys being home in Pawtucket, tending to her many (many) plant babies, and spending time with her very enthusiastic pit mix, Luna.
